Don’t forget that that you can take advantage of the DOLOMITI EXPRESS (Bike Rental + Train). More information available HERE

The Cycling Track

For visiting the many villages of our Valley, there are many bike rentals stores where you can also rent bike seats for your children.

From Mostizzolo to Bozzana

This stretch is almost entirely at level land. The track begins from the bridge that sets the border with the Val di Non Valley and follows the trail of an ancient medieval road on the side of the Noce River. In the surroundings of Bozzana there is a rest area with a bench, tables, barbecue facilities and toilets.

From Bozzana to Malè

An easy stretch, however more difficult compared to the previous one, due to the presence of several uphill tracts. You will cycle through orchards, admiring the Castle in Caldes and the Fortress of Samoclevo, crossing green fields an the typical rural buildings up to the Mills of Terzolas. Here is the spot where the torrent Rabbies runs into the river Noce. Continuing on the track, your will arrive in Località Molini near the bridge that connects Malè to S. Biagio. In Malè, the main centre of Val di Sole, you will also find assistance and maintenance services for your bicycle.

From Malè to Dimaro

A wonderful and easy ride throughout endless prairies and along the River Noce.

From Dimaro to Mezzana

This stretch of track is not easy to identify as it is fragmented and linked by State and local roads. The cycle track continues along the River Noce where you can watch the many inflatable rafting boats; in this area there are two major Adventure Sports Centres. Once arrived in Mezzana you will find on your left side the sky resort Marilleva 900, while kayaks experience the fury of the Noce River.

From Mezzana to Ossana

At this point the Valley’s morphology and look changes: from the Sports Centre up to the Horseback Riding Centre, you will bike through typically Alpine areas and conifer forests. Close to Pellizzano you will encounter a ski jumping ramp and a large area often used as a landing point for hang-gliders and parasails.

Reaching Ossana will you catch sight of the heights of the Alpine Ortles -  Cevedale group in Val di Pejo. Not to miss a visit to the ruins of the Castle of Ossana as well a pleasant and well indicated track to the Deer’s Lake

From Ossana to Cogolo

This stretch is recommended for experienced bikers due to ongoing up hills and   particularly along the return route which is entirely downhill.

Arts and Culture

Due to its geographical position, the Val di Sole has always been a frontier land. A land of war and conquests, heroism and grief, that bears the signs of its cultural heritage and the footprints  of those who lived, conquered or simply passed through  this land.

The Celts, the Romans, the Franks and the Austro-Hungarians, the two World Wars:  with so much history as a background, Val di Sole treasures rural buildings, strongholds, castles, palaces and churches, where sometimes you find real "hidden jewels".

Following are a few sightseeing suggestions. Do not hesitate to ask for further information.
